Why I'm Walking

I lost my mother, Anne Forcier Watson, almost 5 years ago. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, and outlived the doctors' expectations by many years. My mother was an amazingly strong, caring, and brave woman. She was a wonderful cook, fiercely loyal to her family and friends, loved volunteering, and loved to have fun. She is truly missed! (This is an INCREDIBLY old photo... but you get the idea!)

I have 2 daughters now, ages 7 and 2, and I do not want them to ever have to fight the fight that my mother did. They are beautiful little girls who are bursting with energy and creativity! I hope that through my efforts and the efforts of others, a cure will have been found by the time they are old enough to worry about breast cancer!
