My Fund Raisers

Ongoing:  Sale of Donated, Handcrafted items

I spent a while right after signing up for the walk in 2010 asking complete strangers to donate their beautiful creations to me to help raise the $2300 minimum. I was absolutely blown away by the response that I received! I did not in a million years expect to meet so many generous, talented, and just wonderful people through essentially begging from them! I have gotten some of the most creative things sent to me to sell, and 100% of the sale prices of these items is being applied directly to my fundraiser. I am getting more things in all the time, so please check back here frequently to see what's new! Please check the sale page to view the items for sale, and if you would like to purchase something e-mail me at carolyn3day@yahoo.com.

Saturday, July 16: Wine Tasting Fundraiser

This was so much fun last year that I am going to do it again! It will be held at Kingfisher Wine Shop in Towne Lake (1105 Parkside Lane, Suite 1210. Woodstock, GA 30189). Kingfisher is a great shop with a large selection of wine and cigars, as well as micro-brewed beer! Ray from Quality will be pouring for the evening, and as the event gets closer I will have a list of the wines that will be featured at the tasting. I am hoping to have a Tastefully Simple representative there as well to provide food! I will have wine-themed items for sale which will benefit the fund raiser 100%. This should be a LOT of fun! Last year we raised over $500... lets see if we can beat that this year!! Entrance fee will be $25, which will go directly to my fund raiser as well. If you would like to get a tax credit for your $25, you can donate it through the Susan G. Komen website and print out your receipt to show me at the door!

Tapas for Tatas! date TBD

I thought this would be a fun idea! I'm going to see if I can find a tapas restaurant to host it, otherwise I will have to cook it all myself lol. The search is on! If you have any suggestions please let me know :)

Other Ideas

I plan to have a bake sale- "baking for boobies", an auction, Sammie (my 7-year-old) wants to have a lemonade stand to raise money, bowling to "spare a life, strike at cancer!", I will have another yard sale (not nearly as big this year, last year's was WAY too huge and it wasn't appealing to customers), I will do a babysitting event where people can bring their kids to my house for a specified donation amount and go out for the evening. Also, I've had suggested to me a "homecoming for hooters" dance,  and a "tips for tits" bartender fundraiser.
